Star Wars: Between The Candle and The Stars [Fanfiction]

Between The Candle And The Stars

She stood there, facing the black void, her temper in check, her will as strong as the force itself.

In her mind, Luke Skywalker’s words echoed around her, instructing her to remember sage advice

‘Confronting fear is the destiny of the Jedi’

He was right.

Her fear was real, equal in strength to her iron will, even as she managed to keep it in check, it could be sensed, it could be exploited.

Especially by who was behind her.

The black candle, the one who ignited the spark of the force within her, causing it to burn brighter than anything had managed before or since.

His prescience was as soothing as it was overwhelming, she could taste his raw spirit within her senses.

She dared not turn around, to do so would be to look into his eyes and give in to the burning, her will would be his, and she would be content to let go.

The Falcon flew towards her, it turned, the hatch to the back of the ship opened, the exhaust causing a gail that swept much of the First Order aside, all except Kylo, the candle, struggling to stand firm, but making more of an effort to do than all around him.

He desired her; he waited for her to turn to him, to lock eyes, to share her will with his.

Rey’s instincts kicked in, she made a dash for it.

There was but one leap required to make it to the falcon, a leap that would take her beyond the candle, and towards the stars.

She didn’t know which she’d feel safer with.

The stars were cold, they could suffocate you if you made but one crucial error in the calculations, you would fly forever, but your soul would be extinguished, your body physically frozen, you would belong to the merciless night.

Or she could turn, to greet the candle, to bask in the warmth of his intoxicating will, and lose herself to the iron grip of the side that consumed his being.

She knew the Jedi way was to reject such temptation, she knew she had to confront the cold.

So she chose to brave the night.

She turned from Kylo, towards the falcon

And in the space between the candle and the stars, she wondered how many chances there remained to take possession of the flame behind her.

Star Wars-The Last Jedi: Total Eclipse of the Spark (starring Harrison Ford)

Last Jedi

This is a follow-up to my Force Awakens edit “The Ford Awakens”, where Han Solo survived the events of that movie…due to having zero footage of him to use in the Last Jedi, I had to give him a minimal role in the film. He only appears on-screen once (in the scene where he meets Luke…yes, he meets Luke), and the rest of his appearances are represented by various soundbites from the original trilogy, each carefully selected to connect to certain scenes in the third act.

– The edit has a cold open pre-title scene but does eventually lead into the text crawl
– The entire battle with the Dreadnought has been cut. It shoots on the base, the resistance escape.
– Luke is already training Rey when the movie begins.
– Kylo smashing his helmet in a rage is cut
– Canto Bight is retained as is Poe’s whole issue with Holdo and his mutiny, largely to make sure the film was of an acceptable length, it’d be 35 minutes long with the amount of cuts I made.
-.Luke still arrives and assures Leia noone’s ever really gone. Film ends on a cliffhanger with seemingly all hope lost and Rey tempted to join the dark side by Kylo.

Plot holes I couldn’t hope to fix:

– Kylo and Snoke’s initial conversation is heavily edited. Kylo has been wounded in battle, but because Rey didn’t wield a lightsaber in my “Ford Awakens” edit, it’s left unclear how he got it. The scene merely serves as a reason to unmask Kylo
– Finn journeyed with Rey and Han to Luke’s island in “The Ford Awakens” but is back with the fleet here, again, this was because I could not work out how to get him off the island or even have scenes with them on the island. Just assume he got tired waiting for Rey to complete her training and went back to help the resistance

Star Wars: The Shape of the Storm (Fanfiction)

Just some random Reylo bollocks I conjured up after watching the Rise of Skywalker trailer

(Based off the “Rise of Skywalker” Final trailer)

The force can be your ally; the force can be your friend.

But does the force truly know you?

Does anyone?

Rey stood atop the debris, lost in the cold, the winds growing steadily fiercer, the temperature relentlessly cold.

She gripped her light sabre in her hand; she stood towards the storm before her, looking into its eye, daring it to stare her back, to come towards her.

And then it came before her, the shape of the storm.

The son of Solo, the man who she had gained much insight into, and vice versa.

Perhaps they had learned too much.

In another time, a time where the responsibility of a Jedi had only just blessed her, she had resisted a calling towards the storm, denied it the opportunity to shape her into a fearsome tempest.

The son of Solo had no such desire to turn, he embraced the storm, and was shaped by it, and to stop him in his tracks, she chose to weave a tempest around him, fighting to take control of herself rather than something in total.

The strength she had in her that day was enough to win her a measure of freedom.

But just how absolute was that freedom?

As Ben Solo emerged from the storm, his hair and features drenched in water, his light sabre ignited, his piercing eyes fixated on her person, Rey gained a glimpse into just how the freedom had been attained.

He had willed weakness unto himself, for he had seen the strength in her resolve and deemed it a proper and fitting chance for her resistance friends. It was the least he could do, to offer them some a glimmer of hope to light their path through the dark before he snuffed it out entirely.

He had been chained by Snoke; she had unshackled him, now he stood before her, as he had stood before the last Jedi, apparently free.

Now he would not hold back.

She was his equal, in will, in strength

He could taste her spirit in his blood.

This moment would define them as warriors, champions of the force that binded them together.

Those who possess the force can be your brother, or maybe more.

Or they can be your rival

But does the force truly know you?

The unshackled shape of the storm, Ben Solo, was certain of one thing in regards to Rey.

He did.
